Maintaining hair extensions
HAIR EXTENSIONS BASICS
Sleep with a silk hair bonnet.
Keep roots detangled with a detangle brush.
Detangle from the ends to the roots
HOW TO WASH YOUR HAIR OR UNIT
Brush hair before washing.
Divide hair into sections
Use shampoo that sulfate-free
Apply shampoo to wet hair from roots to ends. Use a wide tooth comb or comb your fingers through hair, and rinse.
Apply conditioner and comb through hair, let sit for 5-10 mins and rinse.
WHAT NOT TO DO
Never go to bed with hair wet if not braided or tied up.
Never put a lot of oil products on extensions. Can cause hair to become dirty faster and stiff
Never put leave in conditioner on any textures other then curly or wavy hair. The conditioner can cause the hair to stiff up or even tangle when dry
If you can’t avoid swimming:
Braid hair
Once out of the water, wash immediately following the washing instructions.
